Angkor Project Study Tours

CHILDREN HELPING TO REBUILD THE SCHOOLS OF CAMBODIA
THROUGH SISTER SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS

The Angkor Project Cambodia Study Tour program consists of visiting historical and cultural sites and connecting with schools in Kampong Speu to widen your knowledge of Cambodia.

You will see and experience the rich diversity of Cambodia and her people and visit many of their key cultural heritage sites that bear witness to ancient cultural traditions.

Through visiting schools and working with educators in Cambodia, you will be able to bring your experiences to life in your classroom and build literacy skills in your school and school community.

By the time you return home you will have closely experienced both contemporary rural and city life, laughed, taught large classes of local students, and networked with like-minded educators.

Key program objectives are to provide teachers and school leaders with the opportunity to:

  • Support the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Education and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), Cambodia.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of Cambodia’s contemporary culture through visits to key cultural sites.
  • Support the development of links with schools, for future partnerships engagement and professional networking.
