In January 2025, 27 participants met in Siem Reap and for the next ten days experienced the amazing country that is Cambodia. The highlight of the tour is the opportunity to teach in sister schools in the Kampong Speu province. Above all, lifelong friendships have been formed, connected by a mutual experience that will never be forgotten. 

The Quality Assurance Team and Study Tour participants visited 24 primary and secondary schools. Interviews with principals and observations made at the sampled schools confirmed the positive impact of the Angkor Project Sister School Program on teaching & learning and the schools’ indoor and outdoor environment. The reviewers observed significant improvements in access to drinking water, provision of toilets, provision of teaching and learning materials, play and sporting equipment and maintenance. All principals reported that increased enrolments and attendance levels, particularly girls, were in part due to the impact of the Angkor Project funding.
